TV Facilities in Brussels

In Brussels, the European Parliament's Audiovisual Unit offers a range of facilities, together with the necessary crew, for media professionals interested in covering the activities of the institution.
 
We work on a first-come, first-served basis and facilities are free of charge, except for satellite circuits. Our facilities are operational to cater to all European prime time news slots.

ENG Crews :

- Light & mobile camera crew (video operator and sound engineer).
- For interviews of MEPs, cutaways, coverage of EP activities...
- Formats proposed : P2, SxS, XDcam (depending on availability).
- Shooting can be followed by editing, then sent via FTP or be copied on to any device.

Light and mobile camera crew   For coverage of EP activities

Booking : For a maximum of two hours a day, you can book an ENG crew by sending an email to avplanning@europarl.europa.eu specifying : the name of the media, the name of the journalist on the spot, the format needed, the name of the MEP interviewed and the meeting point requested.

Note that a journalist must accompany the crew and topics discussed should be concerned with EP activities.
Our services are for broadcast media only.

Live Positions :

- Stand up position next to the Chamber.
- For duplex with MEPs and live reporting from the EP.
- Connectivity through Eurovision.
- Video return possible on demand.

Booking : Even on short notice, you can book a live position by sending an email to avplanning@europarl.europa.eu specifying : the name of the media, your MCR number, the name of the MEP interviewed, the name and contact of the journalist on the spot or the MEP's assistant,

Note that topics discussed must concern EP affairs.

- Professional studios for round tables up to 6 participants
- Live or recorded
- Interpretation facilities
- Open set located at the heart of the European Parliament

- Possibility of having an audience

Booking : You can book a studio, even on a regular basis, by sending an email to avplanning@europarl.europa.eu.  You will consequently be contacted to take part in a production meeting to define your needs.
