In 2014 the Chancellery of the Prize awarded 47 individuals, groups or projects from 19 Member States.
The laureates who already received medals in national ceremonies, will be visiting the European Parliament in Brussels on 25th and 26th February. They will be welcomed by the plenary at the opening of the session at 15.00 on Wednesday and their achievements will be celebrated at a ceremony in Yehudi Menuhin space at 17.30.

Awarded for the 5th time in 2014 since its introduction, the European Citizen's Prize honours the exceptional achievements by citizens, groups or association in promoting better mutual understanding and facilitating cross-border cooperation within the European Union, as well as activities giving concrete expression to the values entailed in the Charter of Fundamental Rights. They are active in very diverse fields such as for example inter-cultural dialogue, solidarity, freedom of expression, historical memory.
